Nice, i really like the use of cool colours gives the picture a chilled and almost solitary feeling. Btw just wondering have u ever considered doing a more rendered picture? Although i can clearly see this is your preferred method of painting , which is great. But sometimes you can learn a few suprising things from rendering.
unfortunatelly i don't have patience for more finished look. I know it's obligatory for a good portfolio and impression, but i don't believe more details can add something to my pictures. I still totally agree! It is very easy to get bored when you achieve the intended effect. Actually i thought this piece is quite finished;]

For me art is modifying what you've learnt about reality...
I'm a bit puzzled by the reflections on the floor... is this a painting from an outdoor scene with rain or indoor with a mirror-ish floor? and it makes me sad to see a beautiful thing like that improsoned
I have no idea about the floor my intension was to show a huge hangar, but probably it can have wet floor or something. Good point though - i didn't notice the inconsistency before. thanks!

i'm glad you feel those emotions. I painted it on dark room, silence all around, so it emphasized the picture's atmosphere - i felt like being there. Peace

The atmosphere definitely succeed in creating the desired emotion, I think this definitely has enough detail.

I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
