Guess what? A dragon!!! With a pinch of shark. Action shot, a pretty quick one, but who cares how many hours? It's the result that matters. I started it with one of the best approaches I discovered recently - as black and white sketch. It is pretty amazing how little colour added to this image kills the stiff monochromatic feeling. There is only a play of value and saturation - nothing more. Simplicity will be my priority for the next projects. It is pretty opposite of my thoughts at the beginning of my journey. It seems that paintings are stronger when simplier, not full of colour, details and everything.

Enough of technical BS - I just love dragons!

Best,
Mateusz Ozminski

Excellent! Reminiscence of some work for Wizards of the Coast in the Magic game. Good sense of drama and speed. The guy leaning forward and the taught pull lines on the dragons face emphasize the speed and force involved. I agree about the comments of simplicity. Extra details can distract. Thanks for sharing!
